Formula Overview
BuildMate calculates wall area and converts it to paint volume based on coverage and coat count.
- Wall area = Perimeter x Height - Opening area
- Paint per coat = Net area / Coverage
- Total paint = Paint per coat x Number of coats
Example: A room with 20 m perimeter, 3 m height, and 3 m^2 openings has 57 m^2 of net wall area. With two coats and 12 m^2 per litre coverage, you need roughly 9.5 litres.
